Game of Thrones: Longclaw Collectible Sword (Miniature Editions) by Running Press is I think the biggest thing to take away from this is that it's a novelty toy. It is not sharp, and it does not open letters exceedingly well... Significant pressure is needed to open the lightest of envelopes. The 'blade' appears to be a thin metal rod coated in plastic, with a metallic finish applied. It is barely magnetic. the coating is applied unevenly, and has various indentations in it, which can be seen when light is applied at an angle. The edges are very dull, and the tip is pointy but not sharp. The handle is beautifully painted a black and gold color, with ribbed sections under the gold paint. The pommel is beautifully crafted, with small inserts or stick-on pieces of fake ruby colored gemstones. The sword comes with a sheath and stand, both of which are plastic, and don't have much to boast about...In summary, It's small and cute, so don't expect it to be sharp or open things well.. Great for decoration only.

I did open the box and take a good look at all of the parts, though.The box comes with 4 different items in it. There is Longclaw (the sword) and the sheath inside of plastic wrap, the stand to lay the sword on, and a small book.Longclaw appears to be just like the sword in the movie. It’s made out of metal and is pretty heavy (for a 4 inch long sword, that is). The tip is not sharp at all.The book is called “The Night’s Watch” and has lots of full color pictures from Game of Thrones. It covers a little bit of the history of the Nights Watch and gives a bio on all of the members including new recruits (the newest recruit listed is Olly, it does NOT reveal the spoiler of what Olly does at the end of season 5). The book also has bios on the Mutineers. The book was really cool because there are some things in the bios of minor characters that you may have overlooked when watching the show.I’m very satisfied with this product and it looks like it will go perfectly next to my friend’s pop figurine of Jon Snow.

Game of Thrones: Longclaw Collectible Sword (Miniature Editions) by Running Press is If you are wondering about buying this just buy it and oath keeper. Its an exact replica. The details are amazing the wolf pommel, the damascus pattern is incredible and on both sides of the blade. Looks way better than the pictures. As soon as I opened it I loved and I bought oath keeper the next day and it is just as incredible as long claw. That being said they are just decorational pieces, they have absolutly no edge. They are solid and the book that comes with long claw is kind of a little biography of alot of the brothers of the nights watch ( I just skimmed through it and I'll read it eventually, some reviews say they have spoilers if you're not caught up on G.O.T. sovrwad at your own discretion) and the pictures are all in color. I will defenetly buy the mini dire wolf bookends.
