Ocean: A Photicular Book by Dan Kainen,Carol Kaufmann is Here's a short video of what this book does. It has pictures that "move" when you flip the pages and each page also has text that describes the animal in the picture. I bought this to give to my 5-year-old niece for a Christmas present and I think she's going to love it. Note that you can't watch the video on mobile devices.

As you turn the pages the pictures "come to life" as if you are watching a short video!Normally when I purchase a gift on Amazon I just have them wrap it and send the gift directly to the person, but as a Christmas present I bought a few of these "Photicular" books and wanted to wrap them myself..I was simply amazed when I looked through it! Even my Husband had to come over and see for himself.Not only would I recommend these as a gift, I would suggest having them be delivered to you first so you can enjoy them before you give them away!
Ocean: A Photicular Book by Dan Kainen,Carol Kaufmann is This book was amazing. I got it for my nephew (age 4) for Christmas and all the kids (ages 1-8) were mesmerized by it. The graphics and movement of the fish was soo cool. I could see the kids looking at it over and over again- laughing at the fish and sharks. There is a lot of information on ocean animals in the book too- for any ocean lover (definitely aimed towards an older age range!)-- but even the youngest kids will enjoy the graphics and pictures! I am definitely thinking about purchasing the other books in the series now! I wish I had taken some pictures to post here of just how cool it was!!
Ocean: A Photicular Book by Dan Kainen,Carol Kaufmann is Great Book! Brought this for my Mom and Dad, who are pretty much housebound due to their age. Dad was an amateur photographer so he really enjoyed it. It made my Mom smile. She's been ill for some time, so anything I can do to brighten her spirits is a good thing.I also bought the Photicular book SAFARI, which is out now, and pre-ordered POLAR, which should be out soon...This book is great for all ages!
