"The Psalms in Color" Inspirational Adult Coloring Book by Christian Art Publishers is This is a lovely Scriptural based coloring book from Christian Art Publishers. There are 55 pages of full designs as well as 7 pages of bookmarks, cards, and gift tags. All of the full designs in the book (as well as most of the extras) include a verse from The Psalms. The translations used are a variety: The Holy Bible NIV, the Holy Bible New Living Translation, the New King James Version and The Holy Bible English Standard Version.The Scripture is beautifully integrated into the lovely designs so that, while the words speak to the heart, the colorist can enjoy the beautiful illustrations as well. I like the there is such a large variety of designs but with the grounding of a single book of the Bible. The Psalms are the book I turn to when I am most troubled. The problems the Psalmist struggled with and the words he speaks to God usually find an echo in the things that I am struggling with as well.Here is a brief overview of what I found in this coloring book:62 Pages of Designs based on The PsalmsDesigns printed on one side of smooth, white, heavyweight perforated paperGlue BindingMost designs merge past perforations into the binding areaAlcohol-based makers bleed through the pageWater-based markers, India ink pens, and gel pens do not bleed through the page though gel pens require a longer than usual drying periodColoring pencils were mixed. I had good results with waxed-based soft lead pencils and hard lead pencils in general. Oil-based soft lead pencils laid down good color but did not blend well. Hard lead pencils did not dent the back of the page.I'm so pleased with the beautiful Scripture-based coloring books that I have found recently and am thankful to have found this one as well.

Again, the cover is beautiful and the pictures are wonderful. Bright white, thick paper that is perforated. The pictures are one sided which I love! Bic Mark Its and Sharpies bleed thru, so if you don't remove the picture from the book when you color be sure to put something behind it. One of my favorite books. You will really enjoy it!!

I am so happy coloring with My Children & Now My Younger Grandchildren.A Friend suggested I Try These~ At First,I thought a Bit silly but after I tried it,I Find it to be very relaxing! This was my first book & The Pictures are very detailed. There is a lot of Patience required.. Although I like the Bible verses I am going to look for one that doesn't require so much detail coloring.

"The Psalms in Color" Inspirational Adult Coloring Book by Christian Art Publishers is The verses are well chosen, and the paper is good quality. But the pictures often don't relate to the verses at all. For example, for the verse "The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness" the picture is a bunch of flowers. Sometimes the connection is better, but it is pretty hit and miss. This makes it feel more like an ordinary coloring book and less like a reflection of the Psalms.
