Standard Wirebound Manuscript Paper (Green Cover) by Hal Leonard
Standard Wirebound Manuscript Paper (Green Cover) by Hal Leonard is I'm a music major and this is just what I needed.
Standard Wirebound Manuscript Paper (Green Cover) by Hal Leonard is I ordered 2 of these for my 8-year-old son who loves writing sheet music. He likes the paper quite well and hasn't complained about any features of the books. The spiral binding lets the book lay flat, which works well for him because he usually writes from the floor.
Standard Wirebound Manuscript Paper (Green Cover) by Hal Leonard is I've enjoyed using this staff paper for numerous projects, both for classes and things I have undertaken on my own. The paper is nice and thick, and the lines are just the right width for easy visibility at the piano or reading off of a music stand under normal lighting conditions. I usually write in my notes with a mechanical pencil, and then I go back and double-check everything before rewriting in fine-tipped pen. If I am careful, it rarely bleeds through. Being spiral-bound, I can easily flip pages while playing, and I can remove any pages that I don't want with very little mess. Some people prefer working mainly from software, but I tend to go old-fashioned and write as I go at the keyboard. That being the case, I would get very little done without a nice fat sheaf of reliable staff paper at hand when inspiration strikes. And having my work all together means that I can flip back and check previous revisions or related work.If you only need one or two pages, then by all means, print your staff paper. But if you want a quality notebook to work from, this is about the best setup I can think of.
Standard Wirebound Manuscript Paper (Green Cover) by Hal Leonard is the paper is fine, but when I compose music I often am working outside the grand staff by up to 4 ledger lines in either direction. this paper makes it extremely hard to write outside the standard 5 lines things are just too close together. other criticism is that the pages aren't perforated. so they rip kinda messy. and also because of the spiral binding, the lines of the staff come almost to the binding, leaving very little room to draw in the bracket for a grand staff. I don't hate it, but wish I bought the red version that's not spiral bound and gives a little more room for pieces of music that cover a broader range of notes.
