The Yoga Anatomy Coloring Book: A Visual Guide to Form, Function, and Movement by Kelly Solloway,Samantha Stutzman is This book gets 5 or-"10" gold stars.. Being an Exercise Physiologist & Yoga teacher since 1998.. I will refer my students this purchase.-or anyone interested in ANATOMY-(any age)- Anatomy diagrams-(designed for you to color code), are accurate & clear-the illustrations of ALL muscles are detailed. The process of coloring-If that is what the buyer will do- will reinforce learning the name, function & location including origin & insertion. This book is a great way to see what the muscles are doing & where they are in each asana pictured-it is NOT a book describing how to do the poses.. but rather, a good way for a practitioner to locate any weakness, tightness, discomfort or injury they may hope to resolve by knowing which muscle/s are causing the issue & where located & with which adjacent & synergistic muscles it performs. The Yoga Anatomy Coloring Book: A Visual Guide to Form, Function, and Movement by Kelly Solloway,Samantha Stutzman is So excited to finally get this book. Even being a health care professional and having a pretty good knowledge of anatomy, this is a great resource! When I taught a yoga anatomy class a few months back, I would've loved to use this book. Instead, I had to create a crash course anatomy class from scratch. Let me tell you, it is not easy teaching yoga anatomy in 2 hours to people that are not healthcare professionals. If you're not a healthcare professional and you want to learn more about yoga anatomy, I recommend this book!
